Hi, I am Kate Elise.

I am certified with Bluebird Doula Seminar which is an intensive 10 month course for labor and postpartum doulas. Chloe French is a doula and midwife who personally coached you through the course.

I am also a Doula thru PALS ( Philadelphia Alliance for Labor Support) which I attended a DONA approved training with Deborah Pascale- Bonaro. I am not DONA certified. PALS supports low income families in the philadelphia area with free and low cost doula services.

I took the CAPPA Childbirth Educator Training in Fall 2018. I teach private childbirth education and support techniques classes as well as group classes.

I have taken workshops in helping LGBTQIA+ Family Planning and Wellness.

I am also a mom of an amazing daughter, Aliyah Isis, who gave me the journey of a lifetime with my pregnancy, labor, breastfeeding experiences and early milestones. She is what started my passion to become a doula.

I was the type of pregnant person that knew nothing going into my pregnancy so I researched everything. From that experience I was able to be the friend others came to for support and advice during their mom moments. Most pregnant peopleI talk to experience a huge lack of knowledge from their caregivers and we have stepped away from a society that openly shares and passes on information from generation to generation. No matter what your background you deserve to know enough about your body and your baby to feel confident with your labor. My goal for my clients is for none of them to say "Wow, no one told me about that ahead of time!"

I believe women are powerful. I believe that we need to support each other and be inclusive not exclusive in helping our neighbors, communities, and cities. Not enough women are given the information to be able realize that their birth is their own and there as so many different ways we can bring life into this world.
